Privacy Policy

Numberfeud is a game. We collect the little we need to run your account and your games, and nothing else. We do not sell your data, and we do not use third-party advertising or tracking.

What we store

Your display name and email address.
A securely hashed password — never the password itself. If you sign in with Apple, we store only the anonymous identifier Apple provides.
Your games: moves, scores, rating, and chat messages you send.
Your friends list and friend requests.
If you enable notifications, a device token so we can alert you.
If you report a player, the report and a copy of the message you reported, so we can review it.
The list of players you have blocked.

Why we store it

To create your account, verify your email address, match you with opponents, keep score, show the leaderboard, and let you chat with opponents in a game. Your email is also used to reset your password.

Who can see what

Other players see your display name, rating and game results.
Your email address is never shown to other players.
Your tile rack is private — opponents cannot see it.

Sharing

We do not sell or share your personal data. Data is stored with our hosting and database provider (Render) purely to operate the service, email is delivered through our email provider, and push notifications are delivered through Google Firebase. Each of them acts on our instructions and for no purpose of their own.

Who is responsible for your data

Numberfeud is run by Trädtopp BV, Vinkenlaan 29, 3080 Tervuren, Belgium. We are the data controller for everything described on this page. You can reach us at info@numberfeud.com.

Why we are allowed to store it

To give you the game you asked for — your account, your games, your chat and your friends list. Without this data there is no account to play with.
Because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the game usable and safe — moderation, handling reports, blocking abuse, and protecting the service from attack.
Because you agreed — notifications. You can withdraw that at any time in your device settings, and nothing else stops working.

Your rights

You can ask us to show you the data we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict what we do with it, object to us using it, or hand it to you in a portable form. Write to info@numberfeud.com and we will answer within a month. Deleting your account does not need a request at all — it is in the app, and it takes effect immediately.

If you think we have handled your data badly, you can complain to your national data protection authority. Ours is the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).

Where your data is stored

Our servers and database are hosted by Render in the United States (Oregon), so your account and game data is transferred outside the European Economic Area. Two safeguards cover that transfer: Render's data processing agreement incorporates the Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission (Decision 2021/914), and Render is certified under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework. Push notifications are delivered through Google Firebase on the same footing. Connections to our servers are encrypted in transit.

Children

Numberfeud is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Keeping the game civil

Chat messages are checked automatically before they are sent, and any player can report a message or block another player. Reports are reviewed within 24 hours and we remove content and accounts that break the rules.

How long we keep it

Games with no move for three days are closed, and old activity entries are removed after 30 days. Deleting your account removes your data straight away, apart from moderation reports about you, which we keep so a removed account cannot simply be made again.

Your choices

You can change your display name and avatar in the app. You can delete your account and its data at any time from the menu on the home screen (⋮ → Delete account) — it takes effect immediately, and you do not need to ask us. Notifications can be turned off in your device settings at any time.
